One of the great disadvantages of purchasing ready made clothes is that the material is usually not clearly specified. Before being despatched to the retailer selling clothes, the clothes are usually starched and ironed so that the potential customer will be impressed by the clothes. However when the customer will purchase these clothes and wash them for the first time, the true quality of the clothes will be known .
Most readymade garments require maintenance, ironing and starching, otherwise the person wearing the clothes will look shabby. People who are busy and have little free time will not be able to spend their time ironing and starching the clothes. Hence it is advisable for a person who does not wish to spend time ironing to purchase fabric whose qualities are well defined by the textile shop or manufacturer before the clothes are stitched.
